Parents of Juniors

Now is the time to start thinking about the graduation party for your students next year.  It is a great time to start getting involved for a smooth transition for next year’s event.  The senior party committee this year would be happy to meet with any junior parents interested in helping out next year to let you know about the various committee positions.  They include committee chairs, decorating committee, fundraising, food, games, entertainment and more.  Send a note to
Traditionally Junior parents help out the senior parents on the day of graduation and the
morning after the party.  So how can you help out?
June 10th:
The community is invited to take a tour of Century
and see the Senior Party decorations for the class of 2017 between 3:00 - 5:00
PM.  We need junior parents to help monitor the building and ensure the
security of all the party decorations.  This is a great chance to see what
was done for the senior class this year and get ideas for next.  If you
are interested in this, send a note to

June 11th:
5:00 AM it is your chance to store away decorations, games and supplies to use
at your students’ senior graduation party in 2018.  The more the merrier
and the faster the clean-up will be done with the items safely stored and
organized for your group next year.  It would be great if somebody wanted
to head this effort to organize the junior volunteers.  We have set up a
volunteer sign-up spot for you at:

A Note From the Principal

Dear Century Families,

I want to address a social media post that was visible last night and some of our students or families may have seen this post. It was brought to our attention and we quickly worked with Rochester Police Department (RPD) before the start of school this morning. This is a police investigation and I am unable to share information specific to the investigation. Safety of our students and staff is a top priority and our students and staff were never in any danger.

We will continue to work with our students on good digital citizenship, including appropriate use of social media. We take these matters very seriously and will continue to educate our students.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Chris Fogarty

Got summer plans? Check out our summer academic enrichment page

Not sure what to do this summer or trying to help your son or daughter come up with some ideas for summer activities? Check out the list of activities compiled under our summer enrichment tab on the Century website. A variety of camps and other programs taking place this summer are listed, as are links to other lists. Some activities are free or low cost while others are more expensive (but may have scholarships available). The site is meant to be starting place for your research into summer opportunities (and we take no responsibility for your experience with any of these providers - use you own due diligence in conducting further research). I am always amazed at the variety of programs out there that can meet just about any interest.
