I want to inform you of a situation that occurred early this afternoon. Our administration team was notified of a police presence with multiple officers in Century High School’s parking lot. There were several students receiving distance learning support in our building at this time. There were also Century staff in our building. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We activated our Threat Response protocol, which called for all students and staff to remain in the classrooms due to an external threat. This lasted approximately 15 minutes. The situation that occurred on our campus was not connected to our school, except that the parking lot was the setting of the event.
